1.2.Build 1051

The following items have been changed/added in Version 1.2 Build 1051 (07-04-2010) - includes all previous builds.

1. Referee Assessments: Corrected error ‘summaries.prg’ missing that occurs after printing/displaying/PDF output and viewing current or another assessment.
2. USSF Developmentt Form Final:  Corrected output of report.  Output of Difficulty: Competitive and Difficult were reversed.

The following items have been changed/added in Version 1.2 Build 1048 (05-21-2010)

1. Referee Assessments: The new USSF Match Development Assessment has been added to the assessment data entry form.  The form also will allow the use and selection of the USSF Focus Criteria.  A new grid is displayed at the bottom of the form that displays the Focus Criteria (FC) applicable to the referee position (Referee, AR or 4th).  By double-clicking or pressing the <Enter> key on a specific FC the selected FC is copied to the active text box.  Comments regarding the FC can then be entered.  The FC grid is only available for selection during editing of data.  The selected FC is inserted at the end of the active text box.  See the figures below.

The FC selection is not available for the old Full Assessment form.

2. USSF Development Assessment Report: The new USSF Match Development Assessment form has been added to the report output and replaces the old form.  Unformatted continuation pages have also been added to the output options, similar to the capability that was available in the old USSF Feedback forms.  See example report, below.

3. Import Regional Assignments:  Corrected errors in import process.

   The following items have been changed/added in Version 1.2 Build 1047 (09-29-2009)

1. USSF Reports Output:  a) Corrected error when attempting to output Assessment Reports with either invalid or no data.  A ‘No Data’ error message is now displayed.  b)  Corrected error in processing of  a request to View or Not View PDF output Report of Assessment Reports.  c)  Changed Progress Bar content when writing Feedback Reports to PDF Files.  The Progress Bar now displays as much of the actual file name as can fit in the Progress Bar title.
2. System Configuration:  Added field to contain the default Assessment Type records to be added when completing the Assign Referees form for a game.  This field is completed in the Assessor tab.  When the Game to be assessed has been added to the Game Schedule, a Game Assignment Record is automatically created.  When the officials are assigned to the game, an Assessment record is automatically added or updated when the Assignment record is saved.  The default Assessment type is defined in the Assessor tab and is defaulted to ‘F’: Full USSF Assessment if not completed.
3. USSF Feedback to Officials Reports:  Corrected double printing of data in unformatted continuation pages for AR’s/4^th Official.

The following items have been changed/added in Version 1.2 Build 1046 (06-19-2009)

1. Referee Assessments:  a) Disabled data entry into Game # field.  b)  Changed method of viewing the Assessment tabs.  When navigating from game to game, the Evaluation tab (Referees)/Recommendation tab(4^th Off.)  or Observations tab for Development Assessments is the first tab displayed for each assessment record.  This also corrected the display of assessments scores when navigating from game to game.  c) Corrected automatic calculation of Assessment Average.  d) Corrected disappearance of Game number after performing a search for a game and after the response of No to the Search Again request, the game number was not displayed.  e)  Added Print button in navigation buttons to print USSF Reports of Assessment/Feedbacks/Development forms directly from the Enter Assessments form.  The Game # is automatically entered in the Output Report form.
2. Import Regional Assignments:  a) AssessorPro systems that contained data from a previous year would have duplicate Regional Referee Codes after a Regional Import of assignments.  This caused the wrong Referee to show in the Game Assignments and Referee Assessment records under certain circumstance.  This problem has been corrected in this Build.  b)  At the end of the import, records are deleted from the Game Assignment and Referee Assessment tables for any games no longer assigned.
3. Referee Data:  The Local ID field has been enabled in order to view and maintain the imported Regional Referee Codes.  The Data entered in the Local ID field from the import is formatted as follows, the three digit Regional Referee Code followed by the tag: R*YYYY where YYYY is the current tournament year, i.e., 123R*2009.

The following items have been changed/added in Version 1.2 Build 1045 (06-16-2009)

1. USSF Reports of Assessment/USSF Development Report-Pre-Assess:  Corrected error when printing directly to Printer.  Undefined variables when checking for non-existent continuation fields (CMCR,…).

The following items have been changed/added in Version 1.2 Build 1044 (06-15-2009)

1. Import Regional Assignments:  Corrected search for Referee Name when importing and updating Referee Data which could cause duplicate records if not corrected.  Added updates to USSF ID field.
2. USSF Reports of Assessment-Pre-Assess:  Corrected display of Game Time.  Added option to display internal Referee Code based on System Configuration setting in Reports tab consistent with other reports.

The following items have been changed/added in Version 1.2 Build 1043 (06-14-2009)

1. Import Regional Assignments:  Added Import Dates from and To for Regional Assessment Assignments to the Import form.  The dates default to the dates entered in the System Configuration.  Dates can be changed at import time.

The following items have been changed/added in Version 1.2 Build 1042 (06-13-2009)

1. Import Regional Assignments:  Added validation to verify presence of the USSF ID in the Assessor Data. Absence of the ID or an invalid ID results in Variable not found ‘EVAL’ error when attempting to import Assessment Assignments from the Tournament Administrative System.  Without the ID there is no way to match tournament assignment records  with the Assessor.

The following items have been changed/added in Version 1.2 Build 1041 (06-06-2009)

1. USSF Reports/Feedback/Development Reports:  Changed the format of the Field Location to show the Field number before the Field Location name due to long field names.  Increased the size of some output fields to allow for the display of more data.
2. USSF Development Report:  Correct undefined variable error (CMCR)
3. Regional Data Import-Game Schedule.  When importing assignments from the USYS Regional Championships, defaulted the Team Age field to ‘Y:Youth’.
4. First & Last Name Edits: Added button to the right of the First Name data entry field that will turn on or off editing of the First and Last names in those instances where the reformatting of the name is not desired.   When leaving the Last Name field the following edits are performed to reformat the Referee Last Name:

1. Last Name begins with Mc, Mac or O’:  The routine capitalizes the first letter after Mc, Mac or O’.
2. Last Name or First Name contains a hyphen (-):  The routine capitalizes the first letter after the hyphen (-).
3. Other Last Names composed of two parts that contain Uppercase letters in the middle of the name should be preceded with a blank character to force uppercasing of the letter following the blank and then automatic removal of the blank.

Examples:  mcduffy = McDuffy; macdougall = MacDougall; o’brien = O’Brien; jones-smith = Jones-Smith; de gaulle = DeGaulle. Editing should be turned off for names such as Machnik.  When editing is on this would be reformatted as MacHnick.

The following items have been changed/added in Version 1.2 Build 1040 (04-27-2009)

1. Referee Assessments:  Set the Assessment Type to default to ‘F’: Full.
2. Game Assignments:  Referee Assessment records are created or updated when the Game Assignments are made.  Added default of ‘F’: Full as the Assessment Type when creating the Assessment record.  This value can be changed to ‘D’; Development in the Referee Assessment form, if appropriate.
3. Pre-Assessment Forms:  Corrected problem when attempting to print the Pre-Assessment forms.  Ability to select the game to print was not offered.

The following items have been changed/added in Version 1.2 Build 1039 (03-24-2009)

1. USSF Reports-Feedback to Officials:  Corrected problem when printing continuation pages for AR1/2 and 4^th Officials.  Problem was that a double image was printed for any continuation of  comments in the Feedback forms.
2. Vista:  Corrected problem for new installation of AssessorPro on new Windows Vista systems where AssessorPro has never been installed.  System would not complete the Registration.  Systems upgraded to Vista were not affected.

The following items have been changed/added in Version 1.2 Build 1038 (01-08-2009)

1. Logo Files:  All popular graphics file formats are now capable of being used in TAS.  They are:  .ani, .bmp, .cur, .dib, .exif, .fig, .gfa, .jpg, .jpeg, .jpe, .jfif. .ico, .png, .tif, .tiff, and , .emf.  These graphics files are used and configured in the System Configuration and Assessor Data.  The files may be selected from any location on your computer and are then copied to the current AssessorPro folder.
2. Referee Data:  Corrected problem with disappearing Referee Data records.  This problem occurs when the last record is deleted and a new record added.  Problem corrected by rewriting all code related to generating the next referee code and modifying the code that deletes a data record.
3. Output Reports:  Embed fonts checkbox was added to form when selecting PDF output.  The default is set in System Configuration-Reports  tab.  See Build 1036, Item 2.  The default can be changed at run-time.
4. Referee Data Import:  Temporarily disabled import for .CSV and .DBF files to rewrite the import.

The following items have been changed/added in Version 1.2 Build 1037 (12-17-2008)

1. Referee Data Import:  Refined editing of hyphenated first name and included middle initial.

The following items have been changed/added in Version 1.2 Build 1036 (12-15-2008)

1. System Configuration:  Added field in Reports tab to set PDF output to include fonts in the output file.  See item 2.  The default is to NOT include fonts.
2. PDF Reports under Windows Vista:  The size of the default font file in Windows Vista are roughly double the size of the Windows XP font files.  Prior to this Build fonts were embedded as a default in the creation of a PDF file.  This was done because it frequently occurred on some client PC’s that the fonts called for by the report did not exist on the client computer.  When that occurs, the printer will select the font closest in character and size to that called for by the PDF file.  This then causes the report to lose its formatting.  Effective with this build, font embedding has been removed and will only occur if the System Configuration option in Item 1, above, is set.  Under Vista, the file size difference is significant.  For example, a complete USSF Reports of Assessment with fonts embedded is over 1.1 megabytes.  This also causes long print time for printers with a small amount of memory and may not print at all if the printer memory is insufficient.  Without fonts embedded, the file size is only 81 kilobytes.  Keep in mind that if you created a file without fonts embedded and send that file to someone who does not have all of the default Windows fonts installed on their PC, the report will not print correctly.  It may print correctly on your printer but not on the recipient.  Although we like to blame Microsoft for our computer problems, this font size bloat was caused by a third party that supplies Open Source True Type fonts to Microsoft and other vendors of hardware and software.

The following items have been changed/added in Version 1.2 Build 1035 (12-12-2008)

1. System Configuration:  Corrected error in Reports tab-Print Referee Code in Assessment reports.  Checked field was not being saved correctly.
2. Referee Data Import:  Corrected import errors when first running import module and added additional data validation and reformatting for various fields.
3. PDF Reports under Windows Vista:  There is a problem for systems running under Windows Vista.  When generating the assessment reports with output to PDF, the size of the PDF file is bloated by about 50%.  This problem is being investigated and will be corrected in a future build.

The following items have been changed/added in Version 1.2 Build 1034 (12-05-2008)

1. System Configuration:  1)  Split Misc Admin/Reports tab into Reports tab and Misc Admin tab;  2) Added option to Reports tab to print AssessorPro Referee Code with Official’s names on USSF Reports of Assessments if option is checked.
2. USSF Reports of Assessments:  Added Referee Code to Official’s names if the option is checked in the system Configuration Reports tab.
3. Referee Data:  Corrected error when using Find Referee by referee Code.  Code was dropping rightmost number of Referee Code and returning incorrect referee data for number entered.

The following items have been changed/added in Version 1.2 Build 1033 (08-01-2008)

1. Regional Assessment Export:  Changed date error checking in the form to clarify that the only allowable date range is to be that of the dates defined for the tournament in the System Configuration-Misc tab.  The date can be changed to be within the tournaments date range.  For example if the tournament is defined as from 06/16/2008 to 06/22/2008, and you only need to export one day, you may enter from 06/18/2008 to 06/18/2008.  Any dates entered outside of the range will result in the date in error being displayed in RED and a displayed error message.  When the error message is closed the original date is returned to the field.

2. Team Data:  Added validation when leaving the Team # field to verify that the combination of the Club ID and the Team # is unique.  NOTE:  A clarification that even if there is only one team in the club, a unique Club ID must be created for each team created.  If there is more than one team for a club in an age group, then the Team # must be used to make the team unique.  If a duplication/pre-existing Club ID and Team # is found, an error message is displayed and the cursor is returned to the Team # field.  For example, if in the B19 age group there are two teams, Team White and Team Blue, and the Club ID is ABCD, then a Team # of ‘A’ for Team White and a Team # of ‘B’ must be defined to make the Teams unique.  B19-ABCD-A and B19-ABCD-B.

3. System Configuration:  Added option to print System Date on USSF Reports of Assessments if option is checked.

4. USSF Reports of Assessments:  Added Date to reports if the option is checked in the System Configuration.  Trimmed leading and trailing blanks from Team Age field in Home and Away Team names.

5. Referee Assessment Data:  Corrected dropping of last characters of text from Assessment data when last characters were numbers.

6. Import Game Schedule:  A sample Excel Spreadsheet, named ‘GameScheduleImportSample.xls’, is included in this update that can be used as a template to import League, Division, Club, Team, Complex, Field and Schedule data directly into AssessorPro.  For more details on importing this data, see the related Help documentation.

The following items have been changed/added in Version 1.2 Build 1032 (07-03-2008)

1. Referee Assignments:  Removed time conflict flag (T) from Name column of Referee Picklist since it does not apply to assessment processing.

2. Main Menu-Utilities-Import/Exports:  Added the Export items back into the Menu.  These entries were inadvertently dropped in Build 1031.

The following items have been changed/added in Version 1.2 Build 1031 (07-01-2008)  (1030 included in 1031) 

1. Referee Assignments:  Removed unnecessary information from the Referee Picklist.

2. Referee Assessments:  Corrected disabling of ‘Undo’ button after saving an edited record. 

3. Referee Data Import:  a)  Corrected ‘ref_name’ error when opening import file.  b) Changed Referee Selection Grid to improve capability of quickly selecting either all or some of the referees in the list.  Added feature to display the list in either Referee Name order or City and Referee Name order.  c) corrected failure to import USSF ID.

The following items have been changed/added in Version 1.2 Build 1029 (06-21-2008)  

1. Region Import:  Added import of Assessment Results from Regional Tournament Assessor System if the Assessment Data is missing from the AssessorPro Assessment Data table (rgnrfasm).

The following items have been changed/added in Version 1.2 Build 1028 (06-21-2008).

1. Referee Assessments:  In the interest of peace and harmony, the Undo button has been modified to display a message requesting a confirmation of the Undo request.  Respond with OK to undo the add or edit of the assessment record.  Click Cancel to no undo the add or edit of the assessment record and focus will return to the Game # field.

The following items have been changed/added in Version 1.2 Build 1027 (06-18-2008)

1.    Export Assessments:  Recreated this update to also include the following correction that was left out of Build 1026.  Added -asp to export filename.  Name will now be:  rgnexast-asp-(Assessor Last Name)-(Assessor Code)-Date-time.iv.

The following items have been changed/added in Version 1.2 Build 1026 (06-16-2008)

1.        Assessment Data:  1) Corrected error referencing ‘Action1’ when entering Data into Problem tab of Development Assessments.  2). Added League Game # to top of form.

1.      Referee Data:  When leaving the Last Name field the following edits are performed to reformat the Referee Last Name:

The following items have been changed/added in Version 1.2 Build 1022 (04-28-2008)

 1.    Referee Assessment Data: Removed extra blank spaces and <Enter> keys at the end of the assessment text blocks.  These extra characters would give a false indication that there were continuation pages.

The following items have been changed/added in Version 1.2 Build 1021 (04-09-2008)

1.   Team Data: Corrected problem where Search for Team by Age/Club/# did not work.

2.   Referee Data:  Corrected error in the validation routine for the Assessor Grade field.

3.   Referee Data Import:  Fixed long standing bug in the import routine that displayed 1) file open error; 2) Undefined variable ‘RFD’.  NOTE:  When importing a very large file and selecting referees one at a time the Referee Picklist refresh rate after each selection is extremely slow.  A future release will correct this problem.

4.   HTML Report Output:  Removed from system.

5.   Help:  Added Help button to upper right corner of every form.  When this button is clicked, Help specific to the form is displayed.  If the Help file was not installed, this button is not enabled.

The following items have been changed/added in Version 1.2 Build 1020 (03-19-2008)  Build 1016-1019 included)

1.   AssignorPro Import: a) The AssignorPro Import now contains an added field defining the type of Assessment to be performed. If filled, this eliminates the requirement to edit the imported assessment records to define the assessment type as F:Full or D:Development.  NOTE: If the filed is not completed during the export, these fields will have to be maintained in the Assessment Data form.   b) Code was added to regenerate the Referee Assigned Games table

2.   Referee Assessments:  a). Corrected a problem when editing an Assessment Record and the Assessed position was changed to ‘R’.  b) Added an ‘Undo’ button to the form.

3.   USSF Reports of Assessment/USSF Development Form:  Corrected problem where the From and To dates were ignored.  .  NOTE:  If the Assessment Type filed in the Assessment Records do not contain a valid assessment type of F:Full or D:Development, an message will be displayed indicating that ‘No Match Was Found.’

4.   Support Request:  Preliminary Support Request email function added to Main Menu-Help.  This is only partially implemented at this time.  Please assist in its development by using it to report problems, requesting enhancements and asking questions.

The following items have been changed/added in Version 1.2 Build 1019 (03-01-2008) (Build 1016-1018 included) 

1.   AssignorPro Import:  Added capability to import Game Assignment data from AssignorPro.  Option is under Utilities-Imports/Exports.

2.   USSF Reports of Assessments:  Made more minor cosmetic changes where fields were being truncated due to long names.

3.   Import Schedule:  Made performance improvements to the import and redesigned the Game Schedule renumbering.  There are still errors that may occur in the import.  When they appear, click the [Ignore] button.  The import will proceed correctly. You have the option of renumbering at the end of the process or performing the renumbering in the Game Schedule maintenance form.  In either case, renumbering MUST be performed after an import.  NOTE:  If, after importing new games, you do not renumber the games, the new games will appear at the end of previously entered games in game number order.  Renumbering reorders all games in Game Date, Complex, Game Time and Field Number order.

4.   Game Schedule:  Made corrections and improvements to the Game Schedule renumber process.  See notes in Import Schedule, above.

The following items have been changed/added in Version 1.2 Build 1017 (02-11-2008). (includes Build 1016).    If you do not have Build 1015 installed, it must be installed before Build 1017
